Hiking With The Giant’s Rib

Join us for fun, guided interpretive hikes along the Niagara Escarpment! Part of Conservation Ontario’s Healthy Hikes Program.

Dundas Valley Hikes

Hike leaders will be on hand to guide visitors along the Main Loop Trail and interpret several features of the Dundas Valley and the Niagara Escarpment World Biosphere Reserve. This year we’ve added a stop at the Hermitage Gatehouse Museum and every guest will receive a card for 10%off any purchase at MEC Burlington’s Club Night!

Visitors are free to visit the Discovery Centre and see fossil displays, taxidermy, Arts and Photography Series and video displays, or peruse the Niagara Escarpment library.

The hike program will run every Saturday from June 1 through Thanksgiving, weather permitting. Check website of FB page for cancellations. Hike lasts approximately 1.5 hours and is 3.5 km long.

There is no fee for the hike program or the Discovery Centre. Donations are gladly accepted. A parking fee of $9 per car per day applies. Parking fees are used for maintenance of the 40 km trail system and conservation work in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area.

Visit our hiking page for information on our hikes at Albion Falls and Crawford Lake.
