Bruce Duncan Memorial Lecture Series

Bruce Duncan, General Manager of the Hamilton Conservation Authority (HCA), was a devoted leader in the local ‘green’ community, who died tragically in the fall 2007. Through his teachings, he shared his knowledge and expertise with others, especially young people, in whom he instilled a love of the natural environment. Bruce was also a driving force behind the original Discovery Centre Project, working with HCA to establish a Centre.

In honour of his efforts and dedication to this project, the Lecture Series was established to enhance GRDC education programs. Since its inception, the lecture series has presented a wide range of interesting and engaging topics by some of the foremost experts in their fields related to Niagara Escarpment themes.

Presentations will be held on Sunday Afternoons, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at former Parks Canada Discovery Centre 57 Discovery Drive, Hamilton, now administered by the Hamilton Waterfront Trust.

Parking is free, but there is an admission charge of $5.00 to cover costs for each presentation. Refreshments will be provided after each presentation, along with an opportunity to talk with our guest speaker!
